Catch the Hudson River Museum in Severance
In case you missed it, Glenview historic home and the HRM galleries got a close-up in the first season of Apple TV’s hit series Severance, which follows a team of office workers at Lumon Industries whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. In season 1, episode 3, titled “In Perpetuity,” the Macrodata Refinement team, consisting of Mark S. (Adam Scott), Irving B. (John Turturro) and Dylan G. (Zach Cherry), take new hire Helly R. (Britt Lower) on a tour of the Perpetuity Wing.
The Perpetuity Wing is a part of the severed floor that serves as a museum to the Eagan family. It contains three exhibitions: a hall of current and former CEOs, the Lumon Legacy of Joy, and Kier Eagan Replica House. All three locations were filmed at the Hudson River Museum—the hall of CEOs and the Lumon Legacy of Joy are the galleries in HRM’s 1969 building, and Kier’s replica home is Glenview, our Gilded Age home on the National Register of Historic Places.
You can explore Kier’s replica home on a Gilded Age Glenview: Historic Home Tour, offered Wednesdays–Fridays at 1pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 3pm. Advance reservations are encouraged. Purchase tickets here.
