Artful Impact: Come, Look, Respond! (November)

Look closely at works on view in Art and Identity, and share what you see and what you don’t. Join HRM’s Kress Foundation Interpretive Fellow, Christian Stegall, for Artful Impact.

Not your typical talk or tour, participants are invited to join our family as we talk, listen, discuss, and meet new people in an inviting setting. Over the course of the year, Stegall will lead an initiative to diversify and enhance the Museum’s collection, connecting the Museum to the community through outreach and programs.

This month, see connections among such topics as nature, health, and climate change by analyzing how the women in David Clyde Driskell’s Woman with Flowers (oil and collage, 1972, on loan from Art Bridges) and John White Alexander’s Azalea (Portrait of Helen Abbe Howson), relate to the blossoms that figure prominently in their personal space.
