Bronx Conexión Latin-Jazz Quintet: Sounds of Our Neighbors
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Victor Rendón and the Bronx Conexión Latin-Jazz Quintet will play traditional Cuban, Dominican, and international songs in the Museum’s outdoor courtyard that reflect the diversity of artists represented in Order / Reorder: Experiments with Collections. Selections will include Bilongo, El Cuarto de Tula, La Historia de un Amor, Toro Mata, and other classics. Their music highlights the rich contributions that immigrant communities—Hispanic, Indigenous, European, African, Indian, and others—have made to the American musical canon.
