
Gilded Age Glenview: Historic Home Tour
Please note, on Saturday, March 29, the tours will be conducted at 12 & 1pm. Tours of Glenview will also be offered between Monday, April 14 and Friday, April 18 at 1 and 3pm for School’s Out, Stars Are In. Tours on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, will be conducted by Laura Vookles, Chair, Curatorial Department, with a special focus on flowers. On Saturday, May 17, in celebration of Yonkers Arts Weekend, five free tours will be given on a first-come, first-served basis at 12, 1, 2, 3, and 4pm.
Explore Glenview, an 1877 home on the National Register of Historic Places, designed by esteemed architect Charles W. Clinton. On a guided tour, discover the six fully restored period rooms, showcasing fine woodwork, furnishings, artwork, and architectural features that make it one of the most significant early Gilded Age residences open to the public.
In March, honoring Women’s History Month, get a glimpse into the lives of women like Emily Trevor, daughter of Emily and John Trevor, who grew up in Glenview.
Glenview appears in HBO’s Emmy Award–winning series The Gilded Age as the home of socialite Mrs. Astor.
Tours are limited to 15 guests; advance ticket purchase is encouraged. Recommended for ages 8+. Strollers are not permitted in Glenview.
