Gilded Age Glenview: Historic Home Tour
Explore Glenview, an 1877 home on the National Register of Historic Places, designed by esteemed architect Charles W. Clinton. On a guided tour, discover the six fully restored period rooms, showcasing fine woodwork, furnishings, artwork, and architectural features that make it one of the most significant early Gilded Age residences open to the public.
Glenview appears in HBO’s Emmy Award–winning series The Gilded Age as the home of socialite Mrs. Astor.
Tours are limited to 15 guests; advance ticket purchase is encouraged. Recommended for ages 8+. Strollers are not permitted in Glenview.
Glenview tours are offered Wednesdays–Fridays at 1pm and Saturdays & Sundays at 1 & 3pm, with the following exceptions and additions.
No tours are offered on the following dates:
- Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day)
- Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day)
- Wednesday, January 1 (New Years Day)
- Thursday, January 2–Sunday, January 12 (Film Shoot in Glenview)
Additional tours are offered on the following dates:
- On Friday, November 29, there will be a second tour at 3pm as part of Holiday Kick-Off.
- On Friday, December 6, free 30-minute tours will be offered at 5:30, 6, 6:30, & 7pm as part of Free First Fridays.
- On Monday, December 23, Tuesday, December 24, Thursday, December 26, and Friday, December 27, tours will be offered at 1 and 3pm as part of School’s Out, Stars Are In.
Tour are modified on the following dates:
- Between Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 29, tours will be holiday-themed and feature festive decorations.
- On Saturday, December 7 and Saturday, December 14, tours will be offered at 12 & 1pm instead of 1 & 3pm.
