Halloweekend at the HRM (2019)

Celebrate the spookiest weekend of the year with fun programs and projects for all ages!

Saturday, October 26, 12–5pm

• 1 & 3pm — Attend Gothic Glenview Tours and learn about Victorian mourning practices.
• 1–4pm — Make your own concoction of bloody slime in a slime workshop.
• 1–4pm — Create a self-portrait using animal symbolism, drawing, and collage in an art workshop led by Teaching Artist-in-Residence Jia Sung.
• 1:30pm — Enjoy a live and interactive exotic reptile show with Christian Scillia, the self-proclaimed “Wizard of Lizards” from Reptile Party, featuring a python, a corn snake, a fire skink, and more!
• 2pm — Sit back and enjoy a scary show in the HRM Planetarium.

Sunday, October 27, 12–5pm

• 1 & 3pm – Join master storyteller Tom Lee for Grimm & Grimmer in Glenview (mature audiences only).
• 1–4pm – Paint a pumpkin in an art workshop.
• 1:30–3:30pm – Sit for live spooky portraits with professional artists Antony Zito and Marthalicia Matarrita.
• 2pm – Sit back and enjoy a scary show in the HRM Planetarium.
