Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival: Julius Caesar
Important update: The show must go on! Despite the dire weather forecast for Saturday night, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival amphitheater performance of Julius Caesar WILL take place. However, it will be moved indoors to our Middle Level galleries, and “curtain” is at 8pm. You may take your seat starting at 7:30pm. Please be aware that because the audience will be seated in the galleries among works of art, no food or drink will be permitted, nor will there be any standing room on that level. We appreciate your cooperation. Enjoy the show!
The critically acclaimed Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) presents an immersive theatrical experience about a charismatic war hero. On the brink of kingship, he is celebrated by the people of Rome but mistrusted by some of his closest friends who fear his popularity will throw the country into chaos. This immersive, 90-minute production of Shakespeare’s classic and timely tragedy encourages the audience to participate in the power play of politics and asks, “Whose side are you on?”
Food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Museum Shop until 7pm while supplies last. Plus, stop by the Superlicious NYC food truck and the Penny Lick Ice Cream cart!
