The 3 Dianas: An Original Theatrical Event
Immerse yourself in The 3 Dianas, an original theatrical experience inspired by works in It Takes 2: Unexpected Pairings, performed by Sarah Lawrence students in the galleries. Conceived and directed by Allen Lang, Sarah Lawrence College Director of Theater Outreach, with an original score by William Cantanzaro, this production unfolds in three episodes totalling 40 minutes. Celebrating Women’s History Month, the narrative introduces three female heroes—Goddess Diana, Princess Diana, and Wonder Woman—who explore life, death, and their connections through mutual discovery. Drawing on influences from Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Wonder Woman comics, and works by Paul Manship, Mark O’Banks, Catherine Latson, JooYoung Choi, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and Andy Warhol, the production reimagines the artist-as-hero concept in an age of contagion, where time is their greatest enemy. Recommended for all ages.
