Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra (2021)
At the intersection of music and visual art, which share a vocabulary of terms such as “pattern,” “symmetry,” “improvisation,” “boldness,” “simplicity,” “texture,” “nuance,” etc., not to mention the rich historical narratives both told and implied, the Yonkers Philharmonic will perform a selection of pieces that reflect the aesthetics and contexts of the current HRM exhibition Wall Power! for the culminating event of our Summer Amphitheater Series. Musical Director Tong Chen has selected a program featuring composers such as Leroy Anderson, Johannes Brahms, Jacques Offenbach, and even Jonathan Larson’s “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical Rent.
Doors open at 7:30pm. No reservations required. Capacity is currently capped at 150 attendees per performance; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Free parking is available.
