Hudson River Museum Elects David Brent to its Board of Trustees
We are excited to announce the election of David Brent to our Board of Trustees! A local community member, David and his husband, Joe, live in Tarrytown, NY, and have two children.
David is currently an Executive Director in the Corporate and Investment Bank at J.P. Morgan. Throughout his 15 years at the bank he has held several roles in Markets and Securities Services businesses, including being the Co-Head of Data & Analytics Sales, the Global Head of Technology Sales for Securities Services, Head of the Electronic Futures Trading Desk for the Americas, and Global Business Manager for Execution Services. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2008, David ran Electronic Futures Sales and Product Development at Bank of America. He started his career in e-commerce sales at Barclays Capital.
“Museums are so much more than buildings that house art and historical artifacts. They are gathering places, community centers, places for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn and explore,” said David Brent. “I’ve always loved going to museums, but have a newfound respect and appreciation now that I’m a father. I feel especially connected to furthering the mission of the Hudson River Museum given that I am raising my family nearby in the Rivertowns. I believe that I can bring a unique perspective given my professional background, as well as my involvement with the LGBTQ community.”
Thomas D’Auria, Chair of the HRM Board of Trustees, stated, “I am very pleased to welcome David to our active and engaged Board of Trustees. His financial acumen, experience in strategy, and understanding of technology will provide important insights in our mission-driven work. Raising his own family in Westchester, David brings a familiarity and interest with our desire to engage and connect diverse communities here at the Hudson River Museum.”
David was elected by unanimous vote at the April 22, 2023 board meeting and will serve from May 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026.
